About Barney
I was born and raised in North West Georgia and began playing golf about age eleven. It wasn't too long after that before my father and I were playing golf every weekend. Daddy became close personal friends with the local golf pro and everything we did after that was golf, golf, golf! We took the game very seriously. We built a driving range fifty yards behind our back door, bought a greens mower and built two golf greens. We had a great time and learned a lot.
About fifteen years ago I came to Florida to be close to my parents. I finally managed to get my life to the point where I could devote my time to teaching golf professionally as I had always wanted to. I love it. I don't want to do anything else.
I am now a certified Level Four Master teacher in the United States Golf Teachers Federation.
I have completed three instructional videos for sale and I write a golf blog which I will turn into a book before too long. The blog is free to all. I do enjoy teaching golf and if you wanted to take lessons I would count it an honor to share what I have learned with you.
I can assure you anyone who wants to improve their ball striking can improve. The most important thing to know is a person can't get to the right place on the wrong bus. Sometimes we need someone to help us with our set up and form. I love to help folks get on the correct 'ball striking bus'.
